ClipArc - Smart Clipboard Manager for macOS

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

Your Privacy Matters

ClipArc is designed with privacy at its core. All your clipboard data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your clipboard content. What you copy stays on your device.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted:

  • Clipboard Content: Text, images, files, and other content you copy
  • Content Metadata: Content type, timestamps, usage count, and source application
  • User Preferences: Settings, language preferences, and hotkey configuration
  • Subscription Status: Whether you have an active Pro subscription (managed by Apple)

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect analytics or usage data
  • We do not track your behavior or activities
  • We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
  • We do not transmit your clipboard content to any external servers
  • We do not share any data with third parties
  • An account is optional - Apple Sign-In is available for Pro membership verification only

How ClipArc Works

ClipArc monitors your system clipboard to provide its features:

  • Clipboard content is captured and stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework
  • Content type detection is performed entirely on your device
  • URL page title fetching is the only network request made, and only when you copy a URL
  • All search and filtering operations happen locally

URL Page Title Fetching

When you copy a URL, ClipArc may fetch the webpage title to provide better context in your clipboard history. This is the only time ClipArc makes a network request. The URL content is fetched directly and no data is sent to our servers.

Permissions Required

ClipArc requires the following permissions:

  • Accessibility: Required for the global hotkey and smart paste functionality
  • Clipboard Access: Required to monitor and store clipboard content

These permissions are used solely for app functionality and not for data collection.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is stored in the app's sandboxed container, protected by platform security features.

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete individual clipboard items at any time
  • Clear all history through the app
  • Remove all data by uninstalling the app

Apple Sign-In (Optional)

ClipArc offers optional Apple Sign-In for Pro subscribers who want to verify their membership across devices. When you sign in, we only receive the anonymous user identifier provided by Apple. Your clipboard data is never synced between devices - it remains stored locally on each device. You can use ClipArc without signing in.

In-App Purchases

ClipArc uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Third-Party Services

ClipArc does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We rely exclusively on Apple's native frameworks:

  • SwiftData (for local data storage)
  • StoreKit (for in-app purchases)
  • Sign in with Apple (optional, for Pro membership verification)
  • URLSession (for URL title fetching only)

Children's Privacy

ClipArc is suitable for all ages. We do not collect any personal information from any users, including children. Since no data is transmitted externally, there are no concerns regarding children's data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
